London Mutual Credit Union Limited (LMCU) is a not-for-profit member-owned financial co-operative, based in Peckham and operating in the City of Westminster and the London boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth and Camden. The primary lines of business include retail banking, deposit-taking and lending. Established in 1982, by September 2017, the credit union had over 25,000 members and 2500 junior members. This member-based credit union provides affordable loans, flexible saving and current accounts to its members.
We are looking to appoint a maximum of two Non-Executive Directors to the London Mutual Credit Union Board taking up their posts in January 2018. Business expenses will be reimbursed and Credit Union specific training can be provided through our trading associations.
We are particularly seeking to recruit Non-Executive Directors with a proven track record at a strategic level in one or more of the following areas – Information Technology, Social Media and Marketing.
